Alpha Motorsport began as a premium race team in 2020. Racing provided a practical environment for developing drivers, evaluating products and understanding what drivers, mechanics and families need from the people and businesses supporting them.
That experience continues to shape how we approach driver development, support products and services, and work with karting families today.
Our role has broadened over time, but the principles remain the same: purposeful preparation, clear communication, continuous learning and a commitment to doing things properly.
Karting never stands still, and neither do we. We expect Alpha’s role to continue to evolve in response to where our experience can add the most value.

Joe Tighe
Joe Tighe is the founder of Alpha Motorsport and has been involved in karting for more than 25 years, first as a driver and later as a mechanic, coach, team principal and product evaluator.
His passion lies in helping people improve—understanding what the driver and kart are doing, reviewing the data with precision and turning both wins and setbacks into more consistent performance. His approach gives drivers, parents and mechanics ownership of their development, along with the accountability to keep progressing. That philosophy continues to shape Alpha today.
The Alpha Motorsport Wolfpack
The Alpha Motorsport Wolfpack reflects a shared approach to karting: prepare properly, practise with purpose, learn from one another and take responsibility for your own development.
Every member of the Wolfpack has a role. The driver, parent, mechanic and coach each bring different responsibilities, perspectives and strengths. Strong teams understand these roles, communicate clearly and know how to work together effectively.
Drivers may compete independently or as part of different team environments. What connects the Wolfpack is not the race suit they wear, but the way they approach the sport—and the contribution each person makes to the team around them.
