🐺 Alpha 1,2,3,4 🎤 Another great weekend away racing at Monarto for SA State Championships. 🐺 Sam March had an extremely strong showing taking on double duties with fastest laps in KA3 Junior, numerous heat wins in KA4 Junior Light and led all but the last lap of the final to finish 2nd 🏆 (KA4) and 4th(KA3). 🐺 Joseph Bianchini showed great courage and determination after a setback in the heats, charging his way to 3rd 🏆 in the final! 🐺 Maxim Kirwan showed incredible focus and consistency with a clean sweep of the weekend; qualifying on pole, winning each heat and crossing the line 1st 🏆 in the final to secure his maiden State Championship racing in Australia! This result is a reflection of Hamish’s commitment to hard work and practice, curiosity to try new things, belief in continuous improvement through self reflection and his overwhelming determination to succeed. The team attended the Australian Kart Championships Round 5 in Newcastle last weekend and in true Alpha spirit, they were all super competitive. 🐺 Joseph Bianchini had his best round in Cadet 12 yet, often being one of the fastest karts on track and consolidating his position within the top 10. 🐺 Samuel March rallied hard throughout the weekend overcoming multiple setbacks. Despite illness on Friday he qualified P4, and while he had a flat tyre in the first heat he bounced back to finish 2nd in the second heat! This was a great effort, and he ultimately came 4th in the final. @sammarch4 🐺 Hamish Campbell also had a great weekend: P1 in practise, winner of heat 4 and multiple laps led in a hard fought final with the pace to win, however it wasn’t to be, crossing the line 5th. Looking back over the last 5 rounds of the 2022 AKC, all 3 of these drivers have had immense growth - looking forward to seeing this crew continue to discover new limits in the future! 🐺 Emerald AKC round 4 🏆 The team went on the hunt last weekend finishing strongly again with another double podium. 🐺 Hamish Campbell had ripper pace all weekend asserting himself early as a threat going P1 in Practise. An early setback after taking the lead in the opening laps made things tough, though he fought back and I’m sure his first Round win isn’t far away! - 2nd 🏆 Cadet 12 🐺 Sam March finished strongly after being bumped back at the start of his final. Sam fought hard and set his sights on reeling in the lead pack with mega pace through the middle of the race he was back in the mix and came out on the podium. Great effort - 3rd 🏆 KA4 🐺 Joseph Bianchini chipped away all weekend with the added challenge of learning a new track, he rose to the occasion in the final charging from back in P18. Was great to see his work paying off and enjoying his racing! - P9 Cadet 12 Proud of everyone’s efforts this weekend. Lots of learnings to take home as always!
